Moving Day, Part 2

I am sitting on MY couch, in MY living room, in MY apartment and boy does it feel good. I am surrounded by boxes waiting to be unpacked, have their contents organized and put away after two years of being in storage. This morning it looked as if the rain would make this move worse then all of my "hottest day of the year" moves. But after the first load was in the rain let up and besides some small rain bursts all my stuff was successfully moved into my new place with the help of some very wonderful people. So which is worse you might ask, the rain or the heat? If it's actually raining I think the rain is worse but it was nice for the first time not to be drenched in sweat from moving. All in all a very gratifying yet exhausting day!

Moving Day

Tomorrow is Moving Day. And for the first time that I, or my Dad, can remember I am not moving on the hottest day of the year. Instead it looks like I will be moving in the rain. So I guess I will see what is worse. While my moving day may be wet it looks like I'll have it better than the picture below. That looks more like my moving day last August when I was leaving Bilamperga. Ahh, found memories! But all things considered I am glad I will be finally getting my own place and getting all my long lost possessions out of storage!

Mendocino Coast Furniture Makers

I just got back from the opening of the Mendocino Coast Furniture Makers show at the B. Mori & Co. showroom in San Francisco. Now I am not usually one to plug different events and tell you all to go but if you like woodwork this is an amazing show. Tonight, being opening night, we had the added benefit of meeting the artists and munching on cheese and grapes and wine. But even without all those extras it is definitely worth checking out.
